In this episode, Martín is joined by Brandon Wolf. Brandon is a nationally-recognized gun safety and LGBTQ civil rights advocate and dynamic public speaker. He is a survivor of the 2016 shooting at Orlando's Pulse Nightclub. After losing two of his best friends that night, Brandon set out to honor their and the other 47 victims’ legacies with action. In this interview, Martín asks Brandon questions about his experience, advocacy, and career path. They discuss how to become involved in the gun prevention movement and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and communities while prioritizing and maintaining your own mental health. They also preview his new memoir, A Place for Us.
